Waiting for Ezra

We’re in the home stretch of waiting on our new little bitty.  Only 19 days away.  We’re ready and waiting patiently…oh, so patiently.  He’s going to be here so soon, and we’re over the moon to meet him.

Thankfully his room feels complete.  It’s a nice feeling to go sit in there for a bit and being able to breathe and just imagine what it’s going to be like when he’s here.  I spent a lot of time dreaming up what his room was going to look like.  It kept us busy and our helped the last several months pass by pretty quickly.  Now I walk in there and my heart fills with joy.  Dave, along with a few other talented family members, did a fabulous job making my vision become a reality.  It won’t be long until we’ll get to enjoy it with him.

This is absolutely amazing. What a gorgeous space you created for your little man!

Hunter, 1 year | Chattanooga Baby Photographer

I just can’t get over how awesome little Hunter is!  I’ve had the honor of photographing him since he was still in his mama’s belly.  He’s growing into one amazingly handsome little fella.

Happy 1st birthday, Hunter!

If you like to reminisce, here’s Hunter’s parents’ maternity session, and his newborn session.

Happy Snow Day!

Taking advantage of the snow before Spring gets here.

Anne + Adrian

Hi, Kristen and Dave here.

We’re so excited to be able to share with you Anne and Adrian (or Gran and Grandad to us).

These are two exceptional people. It seems silly to try and describe them in just a few short words. But between the two of them, they have rich backgrounds in everything from academia, theology, and leadership, to archaeology, genealogy, carpentry, and all sorts of other things we’re forgetting. They’re the kind of people you can talk to about anything, and always end up learning something new.

Most importantly, they had some amazing children, really amazing grandchildren, and some cute great grandchildren too.

Sadly, we’ve spent most of our lives 2,500 miles away from Anne and Adrian, so we only get face to face time every few years. In spite of this, the impact they’ve made on both our lives can’t be overstated. Adrian’s love of history, and handy “I bet I can figure that out” approach to everything certainly made it down to Dave. And his life long love of photography has clearly resonated in both of us. From day one, Anne and Kristen hit it off like they knew each other forever. Anne’s keen perception, wit, and graciousness make us both want to be better people, and better parents. To top it all of, they’re both a hoot to be around and are always good for a laugh.

We’ve been fortunate enough to spend the last few weeks with Anne and Adrian, while they’ve stayed in town. Before they skip off back to Oregon, we squeezed in one quick photo shoot. We did our best to capture at least a hint of all that joy and love they have for each other, and that we have for them.

Oh my goodness, this is priceless! What a spectacular gift you’ve given them and the rest of your family with this documentation (:

This is so sweet! I’ve never seen a photo session with a husband and wife like this and I absolutely adore it.

Thanks Kristen and Dave. What fun this was and we love the pics. We had fun-laughed so much. What a gift you have given us by using your giftedness. It comes through loud and clear. Thank you too for the kind words. Love you three plus one!
